Many businesses rely on proprietary systems for their core business operations. Such systems are typically inflexible and impair innovation of business processes, reducing efficiency and competitiveness. Open source software not only adds peripheral functionality such as operating systems and network services, but can also act as the glue that binds the inflexible proprietary system to the flexible, innovative business' needs.
This presentation will describe a number of strategies and methods by which that glue can bond to the proprietary systems.
