Mark will discuss the recent work done on Mozilla to support other scripting languages, and specifically Python. A brief overview of the Mozilla XPCOM and XUL technologies will be given, and how Python fits with these core tecnologies will be discussed. Finally, a brief example of a Mozilla GUI application written in Python will be analysed.
The talk is aimed at people familiar with Python and some kind of GUI application framework. A knowledge of the Mozilla technoligies is not required. This will be a slightly edited version of a talk (to be) given as OSCON 2006 in Portland OR.

Mark has been involved in the Python community for over 10 years, and the Mozilla community for not much less! Mark is the co-author of 2 books, releases and maintains the Python for Windows extensions and is the author of both the pyxpcom and pydom Mozilla integration libraries. Mark is currently employed by Enfold Systems, and lives in Melbourne, Australia.
